[서울시정일보 황문권 기자] 세계 최대 연례 보수행사인 ‘보수정치행동회의’(CPAC) 2021년 집회가 미국 플로리다주 올랜도에서 지난 25일(현지시각) 개막됐다.

CPAC 2021은 28일까지 나흘간 진행되며, 폐막일에는 마지막 연설자로 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령이 연설자로 나설 예정이다. 이자리에는 트럼프 전 대통령은 공화당의 미래비전 등을 제시할 것으로 보인다. [출처 에포크타임스]

CPAC에서 한국의 대투본 민경욱(대표. 전 국회의원)이 연설을 했다.

민 대표는 "연설은 잘 끝냈습니다. 기립박수까지 받았습니다. 오늘 연설자들 가운데서는 저와 텍사스 출신인 테드 크루즈 연방 상원의원만 기립박수를 받았다고 누가 일러주네요^^

걱정하고 응원해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 모두 사랑하는 여러분들의 덕분입니다. 라고 페이스북에서 밝혔다.

"신사 숙녀 여러분,
저는 미군을 위해 일했던 하우스보이의 아들입니다. 제 아버님께서는 한국 전쟁이 발발했을 때 16세셨습니다. 제 부친께서는 미군들의 구두를 닦고, 빨래를 하고, 청소를 하며 그들을 도왔습니다. 그렇게 하면서 부친께서는 영어를 배우셨고, 영어를 이해하시던 아버님은 저의 영웅이셨습니다. 저는 아버님처럼 영어를 잘했으면 하고 바랐었습니다. 만약에 아버님께서 오늘 제가 이 자리에서 여러분들을 대상으로 영어로 연설하는 걸 들으셨다면 저를 너무나도 자랑스럽게 생각하셨을 겁니다.

우리는 모두 ‘아메리칸 드림’이 뭔지 알고 있습니다. 한국에도 ‘코리안 드림’이 있는데 우리는 그걸 ‘개천에서 용 났다’고 합니다. 자라면서 한 때 우리 집에는 화장실도 없었습니다. 이러한 어려운 상황에도 불구하고 저는 열심히 공부했고 개천에서 난 용이 됐습니다.

아버님께서 생존해 계셨을 때 저는 그분의 자랑이자 기쁨이었습니다. 저는 한국의 아이비 리그라고 할 수 있는 연세대학교를 졸업하고, 한국의 주요 방송사인 KBS에 입사했습니다. 저는 워싱턴 특파원을 역임했고, 저녁 메인뉴스의 앵커였습니다. 저는 한국의 Tom Brokaw나 Peter Jennings였습니다. 언론인으로 경력을 쌓은 후 박근혜 전 대통령의 대변인을 맡았고, 그 후 국회의원에 당선됐습니다.

그런 제가 지금 여기서 뭘 하고 있는 걸까요? 저는 지난해 4월 15일 총선에서 패배했습니다. 저도 트럼프 대통령처럼 부정선거로 낙선했습니다. 저는 한국에서 부정선거에 맞서 열심히 싸웠습니다. 그러나 저는 좌파 정부와 주류 언론, 사법부로부터 무시당했습니다. 모두 문재인 현직 대통령의 지배 하에 있기 때문입니다.

그래서 저는 지난해 9월 워싱턴에 왔고, 선거 사기의 진실에 대해 미국 언론과 정부, 그리고 국제 사회의 주의를 환기시키는 데 최선을 다했습니다. 백악관과 국회의사당, 유엔본부 앞에서 1인시위까지 하면서 한국에서 일어난 일을 폭로했습니다. 저는 "조심하지 않으면 미국이 다음 번 희생물이 될 것"이라고 경고했습니다.

저는 일찌기 지난해 11월 3일 치러진 미국 대선에서 이상한 통계가 나타날 것이고, 부정선거의 배후에 있는 중국의 개입이 드러날 것이라고 예측했습니다. 이러한 예측은 모두 적중했습니다. 그게 어떻게 가능했을까요? 불과 몇 달 전 한국과 바로 제 인천 지역구에서도 비슷한 일이 일어났기 때문입니다. 좌파가 계획했고, 전자 투표기를 조작했으며, 중국공산당이 개입했고, 사전투표와 우편투표도 조작됐습니다.

부정선거에 대한 증거는 차고도 넘치지만 제 지역구에서 있었던 증거 한 가지를 여러분과 공유하겠습니다. 제 지역구에서는 저를 포함해 모두 3명의 후보자가 출마했습니다. 그런데 사전관내투표와 사전관외투표의 득표 비율이 0.39로 세 명이 모두 똑같았습니다. 이런 일이 일어날 수 있는 확률은 얼마나 될까요? 한국의 유명한 통계학자는 이것이 마치 천 개의 동전을 공중에 던졌을 때 모두 같은 면이 나올 확률과 같다고 말했습니다. 또 다른 저명한 교수는 만일 이게 하나님이 하신 일이 아니라면 이건 분명한 조작이라고 단언했습니다.

부정선거는 민주주의의 가장 큰 위협입니다. 많은 한국인들은 미국에서 일어난 일에 충격을 받았습니다. 그리고 우리는 트럼프 대통령에게 정의가 실현돼 진실이 세상을 지배하길 바랐습니다. 그러나 그런 일은 일어나지 않았습니다. 저는 속이 상했고, 한국 애국자들도 마찬가지였습니다. 그러나 용기를 잃어서는 안 됩니다. 우리 함께 싸웁시다.

한국전쟁 동안 더글러스 맥아더 장군은 크로마이트 작전이라 명명된 인천상륙작전으로 한국을 구했습니다. 민주주의가 기사회생했고 저는 감사의 마음을 갖고 있습니다. 그런데 한국 전쟁 발발 70년 만에 한미 양국의 민주주의가 부정선거로 다시 위협받고 있습니다.

이 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 양국 보수층들의 적극적인 협력이 절실히 필요합니다. 인천 상륙작전의 성공 확률은 5,000분의 1이었습니다. 부정선거를 폭로하고 민주주의를 지키려는 우리의 노력은 그보다 더 어려울 수 있지만 우리는 여기서 멈출 수 없습니다.

인천상륙작전 기념관은 제가 출마한 인천 연수구에 위치하고 있습니다. 저는 이것이 우연이라고 생각하지 않습니다. 70년 전 맥아더 장군이 인천에 심은 자유의 씨앗은 제 아버지의 마음과 내 마음 속에서 자랐습니다. 그리고 그것은 저를 자유의 투사로 만들었습니다.

보잘 것 없었던 미군의 하우스보이의 아들이 이제 외칩니다. 우리 모두 자유와 민주주의를 지키는 길로 함께 나아갑시다! 감사합니다."

Ladies and gentlemen,
I am the son of a houseboy who worked for American soldiers. My father was 16 when the Korean War broke out. He helped the soldiers with shining their shoes, doing their laundry, and cleaning. In doing so, my father learned English, and he was my hero. I dreamed of speaking English as well as he did. If my father saw me speaking today, he would be so proud of me.

We all know of the ‘American Dream.’ In Korea, we also have the ‘Korean Dream.’ We call it, “a dragon rising up from the ditch.” Growing up, we did not even have a bathroom in the house. Despite such difficult circumstances, I worked extremely hard and became a dragon out of the ditch.

While my father was alive, I was his pride and joy. I graduated from South Korea’s Ivy League Yonsei University and joined a major South Korean broadcasting network, KBS. I was a Washington, D.C. correspondent and the main evening news anchor. I was the Korean version of Tom Brokaw or Peter Jennings. Following my career as a journalist, I was the presidential spokesperson for former President Park Geun-hye and after that, I was elected to the National Assembly.

So, what am I doing here? On April 15th last year, I lost in the general election. Just like President Trump, my loss was due to election fraud. I have since been fighting diligently against election fraud in South Korea. However, I was ignored by the leftist government, the mainstream media and the judiciary – all dominated by current President Moon Jae-in.

So last September, I came to D.C. and I engaged the American media, government, and the international community regarding the truth of election fraud. I even held a one-man protest in front of the White House,
the Capitol, and at the United Nations headquarters to expose what happened in Korea. I warned,
“BE AWARE OR BE NEXT!”

I predicted that the November 3rd US presidential election would have strange statistics and that
Communist China would be involved in the election fraud. These predictions all came true. How could I do that? Because similar things happened in South Korea and to my own self in my district of Inchon. It was planned by leftists, electronic voting machines were manipulated, CCP intervened, and early voting and mail-in ballots were manipulated as well.

There is overwhelming evidence of election fraud but let me share one thing from my district. There were three candidates in my district, including myself, and the ratio of ballots cast for in-district and out-of-district early voting for all three candidates was the same: 0.39. What are the odds? A famous South Korean statistician said this was like throwing a thousand coins in the air and all of them landing on the same side. Another eminent professor said that it was either God’s work or it was fraud.

Election fraud is the biggest threat to democracy. Many South Koreans were shocked that it had happened in the US. And we hoped that justice would be served for President Trump and the truth will prevail. However, it did not happen. I was sorry and the Korean patriots were sorry. But let us not be disheartened. Let us work together.

During the Korean War, General Douglas MacArthur saved South Korea with Operation Chromite, or the Incheon Landing. Democracy was saved and I am grateful. 70 years after the Korean War, the democracies of South Korea and the US are again facing a threat due to election fraud.

In order to solve this problem, an active collaboration between conservatives in the two nations is very much needed. Operation Chromite’s odds of success were 5,000 to 1, against. Our efforts to expose election fraud and to defend democracy might be more difficult, but we cannot stop now.

The Memorial for Operation Chromite is in the district I represent—Yeonsugu-eul, Incheon. I don’t think this is a coincidence. The seeds of freedom planted by General MacArthur 70 years ago in Incheon grew in my father’s heart and mine. And that made me fight for freedom.
